The Forest Protection Module

The module Forest Protection informs forest proprietors and visitors on the current level of damage the forests in the cross-border regions of Saxony, Czechia and Poland suffer.

The contributions shall provide a survey of the dominating damaging factors in recent years, in the way of monitoring the situation regarding forest damage (Monitoring) and on measures taken to protect the flora and the soil. The module Forest Protection also facilitates to report about current cases of damage in the area close to the borders of the three countries (Current Damage). Contacts are available with experts in Saxony, Poland and Czechia regarding forest protection.

The creation of the module Forest Protection has been co-funded by the European Union.

By June 2008, at the latest, all its features will have been made available.
